Aero Lloyd Virtual is not a recreation of the original airline. It carries a classic name in German aviation forward as a modern virtual airline, built around today’s standards of flight simulation and airline operations.
At Aero Lloyd Virtual, a flight is never an isolated logbook entry. Booking, optional roster planning, aircraft assignment, OCC dispatch and OFP generation, real-world connecting-flight and passenger connection data through Connex, aircraft ACARS, Flight Data Monitoring, automatic PIREP submission, fleet rotation and maintenance all form part of one connected operational process.
You are more than a pilot ID in a database. Every flight is tied to a specific aircraft within our simulated fleet, adding flight hours and cycles and potentially affecting rotation, maintenance and technical availability.
Aero Lloyd Virtual combines realistic operations with a culture of continuous improvement — for every pilot and for the airline as a whole. Our manuals, checklists, briefings and training material are designed not only to show what to do, but to explain why an operational decision is made. Flight Tracking & Flight Data Monitoring
AERIS is our custom-built desktop application for check-in, flight tracking, flight validation, Flight Data Monitoring and automatic PIREP submission. It detects flight phases, monitors defined operational standards and records relevant flight data throughout the operation.
Operations Control Center
From the moment a flight is booked in the Crew Center, the Aero Lloyd Virtual OCC becomes the central hub for operational flight preparation. A free SimBrief account is all you need — OFP generation, fuel planning, weather, NOTAMs, runway analysis, company NOTAMs and real-world connecting-flight and passenger connection data through Connex are brought together in one integrated dispatch environment. The entire process, from planning to dispatch acceptance, stays within the Aero Lloyd platform.
A roster built around you
Create your own personal monthly roster with flights, standby duties and recurrent training if you wish. If you prefer to stay flexible, you can book individual sectors or complete rotations at any time. Aero Lloyd combines the structure of airline rostering with the freedom of a virtual airline.
Fleet Maintenance
Our aircraft accumulate additional flight hours and cycles with every flight. Technical defects and maintenance status are continuously taken into account and can directly affect subsequent operations. Where applicable, technical defects can generate MEL entries based on our Aero Lloyd-specific Minimum Equipment List. This creates a connected fleet operation in which every flight can affect the next. An aircraft’s technical status reflects previous operations as well as any maintenance action carried out in between. Each pilot takes over the aircraft in its current technical condition and, through their own flight, may in turn influence the starting point for the next crew.
Continuous aircraft rotations
Each of our aircraft is assigned a new rotation for every operating day — just as in real-world airline operations. A rotation describes the sequence of flights a specific aircraft is scheduled to operate during that day. So you don’t simply book “an A320”, but a specific flight within the planned daily rotation of a particular registration. Your flight forms part of that planned sequence, and the aircraft remains assigned to its rotation throughout the day — each sector is flown once it is booked by a pilot.
Operational Understanding
Aero Lloyd Virtual stands for clear operational standards and continuous improvement. Our own OM(A) and FCOM provide a common framework for flight operations and make procedures, responsibilities and operational decision-making understandable. This creates a shared operational foundation on which every pilot can continue to develop their skills — while Aero Lloyd Virtual as an airline continues to evolve as well.
One fleet. One hub.
A fleet of 12 individually registered Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft forms the backbone of our operation, all based at our Frankfurt hub and flown in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 using the Fenix Airbus A320 and A321. Each aircraft carries a custom Aero Lloyd livery by HUES and is represented as an individual airframe within our system, with its own flight hours, cycles, technical status and daily rotations tracked over time. This creates a continuous fleet history in which every flight becomes part of the aircraft’s ongoing operational life.

We take our virtual operation seriously — without losing sight of what it is: a hobby that should be enjoyable and can easily make time fly. Aero Lloyd stands for professionalism, teamwork, curiosity and mutual support. We expect our procedures and systems to be used responsibly, without creating unnecessary pressure. Aero Lloyd should fit into real life — not the other way around. At the same time, we are looking for pilots who enjoy flying regularly, want to keep developing and help bring our virtual airline to life.
